This project was awarded to TP to supply and install 1000 payphones, configure the Payphone Management System, supply 2 Million customized payphone cards, training and support, and to provision the supporting Cisco backbone network.
The payphones are connected to different exchanges (in 15 provinces), and each exchange has its own management system. All provincial sub-systems are connected to a main management system in Baghdad, using E1 over fiber optic technology. TP also played a key system testing role for the deployment.
